The food was so freaking good I almost forgot to take a photo before eating it. I got the beef noodle soup and the portion was generous with really nice variety of meats and greens. A must try if you’re in Sydney.

A must try restaurant for delicious Thai food if you're in the area! Well-balanced flavours and unique coffees to try. We had the pork & prawn wonton, Ama's beef noodle soup and classic dry noodle which were all amazing. I recommend trying the salted plumb cold brew coffee too.

I visited specifically to try AMA’s beef noodle soup, and it did not disappoint. The broth was clean yet deep in flavor, and the noodles were topped with perfectly cooked, tender beef. Even though I came slightly after the lunch rush, the place was still packed! I’m definitely coming back to try other dishes on the menu soon.

One of those places that looks simple but delivers big on flavour, comfort, and atmosphere. Small but lively space, red lanterns overhead, busy kitchen, and a steady buzz that makes it easy to settle in and stay a while. We came mainly for the congee and noodles and they absolutely delivered. The beef noodle soup was excellent. Clear but deeply savoury broth, generous portions of beef including brisket and tendon, soft beef balls, and plenty of greens. The beef was tender, the soup was aromatic without being overpowering, and everything tasted carefully cooked rather than rushed. The congee style bowls were another standout. Thick, smooth rice base topped with minced pork, liver, crispy fried shallots, spring onion, and soy. Comforting, filling, and perfect if you want something warm and soothing. It is the kind of bowl you keep spooning without thinking. The rice noodle rolls with peanut sauce were a surprise highlight. Soft, silky sheets drenched in a savoury, nutty sauce, finished with fried garlic and spring onion, with chilli on the side. Simple, rich, and very moreish. One plate disappears quickly. The cold noodle style dish with herbs, peanuts, crispy bits, and light chilli dressing was fresh and well balanced. Fragrant, slightly spicy, and great in between heavier bowls. The mix of textures works really well. Chilli is a must here. Fragrant rather than aggressively spicy, it adds another layer without overwhelming the broth. Despite how busy it gets, service is efficient and friendly. Seating is close and tables are tight, but it still works well as a long sit and catch up spot. Food comes out consistently and the pace feels relaxed rather than hurried.

Small and cozy place with great service. The ama’s beef noodle soup is a must. I’ve tried the congee and braised chicken before and they are also really good. The food comes very quickly and the staff is very friendly.
