I asked the family what to say about last nights dinner, they used the words - stupendous, exciting, interesting, amazing. We had the Chefs Menu, and the food was all of the above and the staff and service just awesome. Can't recommend Arthur strongly enough. Do yourself a favour and head there for a meal.
Amazing experience at Arthur! Had the Arthur menu + cheese tart add on. 10 outstanding dishes in total. Standout was the bay bug. Delicately cooked so that it came out buttery soft with a nice char from the hibachi grill. Surprise was the cheese tart ... like eating a really airy, salty cheesecake. Complimented by a lovely service team that made the night special.
Celebrated my birthday here and everything (from the food to the service) was absolutely flawless. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully executed, and full of flavour, but what really stood out was the cheese tart! I still dream about it every single night. An unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of my year. Already planning to come back for Christmas dinner. I canโt wait. Thank you teamโค๏ธ
Absolutely phenomenal. 10/10, one of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time! Each dish was a new and wonderful surprise and nothing like we have tasted before. Highly recommend! A must try!! Also the two women who served us were so delightful and lovely! Thank you!
An intimate and homely restaurant on Bourke St in Surry Hills. From the moment we walked in, the space felt warm, relaxed, and welcoming, perfect for a cosy dinner. The menu was really well balanced, showcasing Australian ingredients in creative yet approachable ways. We went for the shorter chefโs degustation and added the extra course โ the Bruny Island cheese tart was delicious, though I think a little more cheese would have balanced the sweet base even better. Every dish felt thoughtful and beautifully presented without being over the top. The staff were wonderful โ knowledgeable about the menu and wines, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely friendly. They made us feel completely at home, like we were dining at a friendโs place rather than a restaurant. Itโs rare to find a spot that nails both food and atmosphere so effortlessly. Bravi to the whole Arthur team โ a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend!
