First time at a Burmese restaurant. Food was amazing. We ordered fermented tea leaf salad and warm tofu. Also let them know and they can remove the chicken. A variety options for pescetarians. The desserts also look good!
First time at Blue Heaven. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was fresh and full of flavour. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall it's a solid spot for a casual meal with family and friends, I definitely will come back to try more dishes.
Absolutely incredible place that I find myself always going back to. They have Thai dessert and Burmese food - both are mouth-wateringly delicious Highly recommend the Thai tea caramel toast and soft tofu noodles in particular but honestly pretty much anything on the menu is a great pick.
Itโs hard to find burmese representation in Sydney but this place was so good!! It hit home and the service was amazing. The staff were so accomodating and kind. 100% would recommend for you to come here!! The thai toast was so yummy and didnโt feel too heavy. The nangyithoke was so delicious, I had to take one home. Thank you for the lovely service, my non-burmese friend loved the food so much.
Iโve been here four times, drawn in as I havenโt had any Burmese before. First time was for shokupan toast (more modern Asian than Burmese) for arvo tea. Second was lunch with a friend who wanted to try Burmese food and third was dinner with a different friend (who also wanted to try Burmese food). The last time I brought my mother - and she enjoyed the food too. I havenโt disliked anything so far that Iโve eaten, even if some items definitely stood out to me more. The tofu noodle was surprisingly delicious โ the creamy sauce is basically savoury tofu gravy with the texture of bechamel! I really liked the crunchy tea leaf salad, though it had basically very few greens. Highly recommended for something different. Coconut cake was yum. Thereโs a few more items Iโd like to try, but they were sold out each time I went previously so goes to show, theyโre probably good too. My sole issue was that I had to request table water every time because it wasnโt given automatically, and they forgot to bring utensils and/or napkins twice. I donโt think it was deliberate, itโs still a very new cafe and I can tell theyโre still working out the kinks but it was pretty annoying.
