From the outside it may not look like much but, once you are inside you're taken to another world. It's easy to forget the outside world when you're inside enjoying the art of the food (just look at the photos). The service was great. The waitress even bought the bottle of spirts to our table to show us. The food tastes good. If you are chinese expecting authetic chinese taste it is close. As a Chinese family, we can be tough critics, but my in-laws (fresh from China!) gave it their stamp of approval. They said the local meats added something really special. The only tiny "ouch" was for my walletโthe prices made me do a quick double-take compared to my usual Brisbane haunts. But you know what? For the experience and the food, it was totally worth it. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable and tasty escape
This evening we visited Dong Sheng.. now there is hype going on with their unique food like the prawn dumpling (lychee tree) and their rice and chicken dumpling (pear). I ordered both and I quit like it.. it tasted like home. The restaurant also offered unique Chinese decor and costumes for diners to take photos etc... Kids had fun with it. For main, we ordered fruity chicken, it was nice, cabbage in garlic sauce was ok.. and this seafood bundle stir-fry thingy was a little weird, my son ordered it, we tried it and we couldn't eat it. .. overall all the main was average... unfortunately wasn't anything outstanding, though it wasn't bad either. Perhaps suits westerners more than Asian diner. (We were the only Asian diners there at the time too). The restaurant seemingly selling ambient, aesthetic and atmosphere more than the food itself. I do have to give them that they didn't use flavour enhancer, at least I couldn't taste it. In a way, it is a healthier way of cooking. For the money I spent, unfortunately we won't be back as we have better places to eat for less. Overall, my kids did not like the food. It is an ok Asian restaurant.
We went there to celebrate my husbandโs birthday. And it was the best choice. The food was so good! Everything was fresh and tasty, and the portions are huge good for groups of people. The staff were super nice and friendly too. Loved the vibe โ will definitely come back again! We went home full and still have take away.๐
The staff were very friendly, and knew the menu well. The chilli levels in the food could be adjusted to taste as needed. Dietary requirements were catered for. The restaurant was nice and warm on a cold night. The atmosphere was pleasant, with the addition of the robot food carrier. It is a bit pricey, but the serving sizes were large, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is outstanding, especially the Seafood on the Treeโit's a must-try dish with fresh, flavorful seafood thatโs cooked to perfection. The Seafood Pot is another highlight, packed with delicious ingredients and rich broth that keeps you coming back for more. If you visit on Sunday, donโt miss their Yum Chaโthe variety and taste are incredible, with so many tasty dim sum options. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommend this place for seafood lovers! Will definitely be returning soon. ๐ค๐ฅ
