I’ve loved Dragon Hot Pot for years and it was my go-to hot pot spot when I was living in Melbourne, so after moving to Sydney I was genuinely disappointed that it wasn’t here. I’ve only just realised it’s finally opened, and I was so excited to try it. This Sydney location was just as good as the other branches I’ve been to. While it did have a slightly smaller selection than some of the Melbourne stores, everything was still fantastic. The Sichuan hot & sour remains my favourite; bold, warming, and full of flavour. The ingredients were well stocked and constantly being topped up while I was there, even though it was fairly busy. Service was quick and efficient, and I honestly can’t fault anything. By the time I sat down, a big queue had already started forming around 5–6pm on Sunday, so it’s clearly very popular. So glad to finally have this in Sydney - I’ll definitely be back.

Delicious food and great variety! 😋 The only downside was seeing a staff member restocking with bare hands. Everything else was perfect.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m so excited that Dragon Hot Pot has finally opened in Sydney! I’ve heard so much about their reputation in Melbourne, so I had to come and try it on their very first day. I expected a super long queue, but surprisingly, I only waited for less than 30 minutes — and the wait was made pleasant thanks to the lovely lady who came around serving water to everyone in line. Such a thoughtful gesture! I ordered their signature Ma La Tang, and honestly, it was incredible. The soup was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with that signature Sichuan numbing spice — not too overwhelming, just the right kick that keeps you wanting more with every bite. The ingredients were fresh and generous, from the chewy noodles to the tender beef slices, crunchy vegetables, and soft tofu. Every spoonful was packed with flavour, warmth, and satisfaction. The atmosphere inside was lively and welcoming — all the staff were smiling, friendly, and greeted every customer with a cheerful “欢迎光临,” which really made the whole dining experience feel special. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in both the service and the food. It’s such a joy to finally have Dragon Hot Pot here in Sydney. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.
