Fortune Village Chinese Restaurant truly exceeded all expectations! The service was absolutely amazing โ the staff patiently explained the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that all the dishes came out together so we could enjoy everything at its best. The food was incredibly tasty, with generous, filling portions that left everyone more than satisfied. They went above and beyond by turning one of our group photos into a fridge magnet, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. A special shout-out to Simon and the entire team for making my birthday night so memorable. You could genuinely feel the care and passion behind everything they did โ it all came straight from the heart. I would definitely recommend Fortune Village to anyone looking for delicious Chinese food paired with outstanding service. An unforgettable experience from start to finish! ๐๐ฅข๐
An excellent lunch with a bunch of friends. The steamed barramundi and salt and pepper tofu were standouts. Service was very good and efficient. I had to deduct a star on two fronts: The fried ice cream was served cold, rather than served with a hot crunchy coating straight from the deep fryer, and they closed early instead of allowing us to have a leisurely long lunch. But overall - weโll be back!
6 of us wanted Chinese after a long day out. Instead of going to Chinatown, I checked Google maps & found this place directly across the street. We did not have a reservation, but were fit into a table for 4 (it was just fine for the 6 of us). The owner was not only entertaining, but chose entrees & mains to share for all of us with a few questions. One person in our group had a dietary requirement which was taken with great care by the staff. It has been around since 1981, and has many framed menus signed by celebrities on the wall. Only downfall was the noise level, but the food was great enough to balance it out. Just donโt choose here for a quiet midweek meal. And make a reservation! The fried rice was maybe the best Iโve ever had. Tamarind chicken, prawns with snow peas, and the pancake entree were all delicious.
We visited this restaurant for a weekday lunch and, although it was a bit crowded, the experience was absolutely worth it. The food was deliciousโflavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every dish we ordered was served quickly despite the busy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Their service really added to the overall positive experience. The prices were also quite reasonableโnot overpriced at all considering the quality of food and service. Highly recommended if you're looking for great Chinese food in a welcoming and efficient setting
5 stars! A hidden gem near Town Hall โ authentic Cantonese food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere. Came here for a family birthday. The staff helped us with candles, cake, and even took a photo, which they later turned into a fridge magnet as a gift. So thoughtful! No fancy plating, just delicious, honest food that feels like home. Quiet spot, perfect for family dinners. Highly recommended!
