I had the dumpling soup and it was absolutely divine. The restaurant is also family run and the staff are incredibly friendly. Highly reccomend!
Authentic north Vietnamese cuisine with fast and friendly service. Best Vietnamese food in Bendigo! This is our place to go for the real thing. (My wife is Vietnamese and a connoisseur of authentic cuisine, so this is a major compliment!)
Food was tasty. Wonton soup was tangy and wholesome. You could tell wontons were hand made in house. Beef vermicelli was tasty according to my work colleague. Service was very good and owners very friendly. But I just can't get over the tiny size of the wonton soup. Attached photo for reference. The wonton soup is $18. Their other mains are around $19. There is no way that tiny bowel should be comparable in price to the size of the other mains. I was still starving afterwards. For $18, I'm expecting a big bowl of wonton in soup and at least a bowel of rice to go with it. Delicious but I wouldn't get this again if it remains that small.
My Bendigo pal’s favorable Vietnamese go to, very wholesome family run vibes always gets me coming from a similar immigrant background. Classic menu, decent portion for the cost (as expected) and delicious. Super crunchy spring rolls - different from a traditional Chinese iykyk, would recommend. Banh mi surprisingly delicious after a good heat in the microwave despite being eaten 24hr later (too full during the lunch today! Eyes were bigger than out stomachs) despite the bread looking average as hell. Loved the beef noodle bowl I had. Such a classic and a generous portion of beef stirred in. Yom!
You know it’s good when you see the owner’s kids having an after-school meal at the table in the corner. Dumpling soup for breakfast on a cold day—beautiful! The pho was great, and the atmosphere was just right with friendly staff. Plus, they open early in the morning.
