Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The food was outstanding โ beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was delicious, from the perfectly cooked seafood to the rich, well-balanced sauces. The service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion. Highly recommend Hao Chi Newcastle if youโre looking for top-tier food, great service, and a memorable dining experience. Weโll definitely be back! ๐ฝ๏ธโจ
I stumbled across this restaurant while exploring Newcastle and WOWโwhat a find! The food is absolutely incredible, and the yum cha is an absolute must-try. The lamb cumin pastry with glutinous rice was a standout and bursting with flavour. On top of the amazing food, the vibe of the restaurant is fantastic and the service is truly outstanding. Such a memorable experienceโI canโt wait to come back!
The four sisters from Sydney would like to compliment the chef on the delicious food and the wonderful hospitality from the staff. We love a good joke, and both the lady with the glasses and the gentleman had a great sense of humour. They even remembered that we ventured to Bernie a few months ago, such a lovely personal touch!
Dining at Hao Chi was an unforgettable experience that made our 10th wedding anniversary truly special. It was our first date night out since welcoming our fourth baby a few months ago, and everything about the evening felt thoughtful and memorable. We began with the ginger shallot kingfish dumplings, which were impeccable โ light, refreshing, and delicately balanced in flavour. The cumin lamb dumplings were equally outstanding, wrapped in beautifully thin pastry with a rich, earthy cumin complexity that lingered in the best way. The highlight of the evening was the mud crab. The chef personally brought it to the table, still alive, and even allowed me to hold it before it was cooked. When it returned to our table, it was perfectly prepared โ sweet, tender, and bursting with fresh flavour. The chef kindly guided us through the best way to crack the shell with the provided tools, and the thoughtful touch of moist towelettes afterwards showed the level of care in every detail. The service was truly exceptional โ warm, attentive, and genuine. Every staff member made us feel welcomed and cared for, adding a personal touch that elevated the entire experience. Hao Chi is more than just a meal; itโs an experience that combines exquisite food, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere. We left with full hearts and grateful smiles, already planning our next visit. Iโd love the chance to return and create even more special memories at Hao Chi.
A nice modern restaurant that is definitely recommended. The service was great. Any waiter passing by was willing to help and not based one who was assigned to the table. Only tried a few dishes but will return. The dumplings were one of the best I've had. The Mongolian lamb was tasty. The only recommendation is it would be better served on a sizzling plate, which generally enhances the flavours and prevents it from getting cold quickly.
