We had dinner at Ho Jiak on Friday and it was a very pleasant experience and exceeded my expectations. Arrived just before 5:30pm so ordered 2 cocktails $12 each. Food was exceptionally good. We loved every single dish that we ordered and just one word "YUMMY"!!! Service was excellent. Everyone there was so nice and so accomodating. They genuinely cared whether we liked the food and making sure that we were having a good time there. Definitely will come again. Thanks Ho Jiak and all the staff on Friday night 23/1/2026. :))

Awesome service by the team on NYE. We ordered pop corn chicken, char kway teow, sambal steak, Pandan creme brulee and satay sticks. The pop corn chicken tasted familiar and was so crispy - literal flavour town and was my partner's favourite. The char kway teow was my personal favourite, the consistent wok hei throughout each bite was to die for and balanced seasoning - chef's kiss. I appreciate that it wasn't oily and noodles were chewy ๐Ÿฅน. Unfortunately the sambal steak was my least favourite. While the beef was soft, it was not savoury? I'm not sure how it was handled but it lost a lot of beef flavour. Look forward to visiting this place again when I'm in town for work. A great place to bring family and friends to eat. P.S the mocktails were 10/10. Compliments to the bar wizard.

Great experience at Ho Jiak Town Hall. The food was bold and flavourful, especially the Moutai Roast Duck, Alaskan King Crab, and Smokey Beef Rib and all cooked beautifully. We also enjoyed the Loh Bak, Belachan Kangkung, and Cantonese Fried Rice. Some dishes can be adjusted to less salty, less oily or less spicy, which is a nice option: just let the staff know. Friendly service, great drinks (loved the non-alcoholic cocktails), and an overall memorable meal. Would definitely recommend!

If you've been in Sydney for a while, you definitely know this Malaysian restaurant โ€” it's next-level delicious. What we love most is how they use top-quality ingredients to create tasty Malaysian fusion dishes while still focusing on creativity and presentation. Itโ€™s perfect for family gatherings and company team-building events. If youโ€™re looking to feast and satisfy your taste buds on any given day, this is the place to go. You canโ€™t go wrong even if you order blindly. My personal must-tries: the โ€œAlaskan King Crab Legโ€ and the โ€œMoutai Roast Duckโ€. They also have an amazing selection of mocktails, perfect for drivers or anyone with alcohol allergies.

We booked online for dinner here and were not disappointed. Service by Jessalyn (sorry if I spelt this wrong!) was excellent the entire night, really helpful with recommendations and when she found out we were celebrating an anniversary gave us complimentary sparkling wine. We ordered the chilli crab man tou, laksa dumplings, duck with foie gras (paired really well together) as well as char kuay teow. The food overall definitely tastes authentic and the flavour of the laksa really reminded me of home. Duck was incredibly tender and the meat basically melted in my mouth. The garlic chilli that came with it is amazing! Honestly everything we had that night was really good down to the drinks. Ho Jiak Haymarket was always one of my favourite restaurants and this one didnโ€™t disappoint either.
