As a Thai, Iโm very familiar with bold and flavorful food, so I have high expectations for Asian cuisine. This place did not disappoint. The Asian fusion dishes were full of flavor, well balanced, and nicely presented. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended.
We popped in on Monday night for a friendโs birthday and were pleasantly surprised at how busy and energetic it was. Such a great atmosphere and an awesome vibe to sit in on a Monday evening ๐คฉ The service was genuinely friendly, and the $50pp feed-me option was unreal value. Three smalls, three bigs and a couple of sides for the three of us, plus a great drinks list to go with it ๐ท ๐ธ The food was outstanding. The lamb shank was the standout, and the tuna tataki was beautiful. Honestly canโt believe we waited this long๐๐ป
The food, drinks and service were excellent. Josh was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Hochi Mama Richmond is one of our favourite venues and is excellent value and quality, and great for two people through to big group gatherings. We will be back again.
The noodles offered at the restaurant are exceptionally delicious, truly embodying the essence of tasty cuisine. The lamp selection adds a pleasant touch, while the service provided was notably friendly and welcoming. The ambient lighting is somewhat dim, which may not appeal to everyone, but it creates a cozy atmosphere. The music played is upbeat and cheerful, enhancing the dining experience. However, the policy regarding limited time for diners to remain at the table is noteworthy. While it encourages turnover and allows more guests to enjoy the space, it can feel restrictive, leaving little room for extended conversation or relaxation. This approach may be considered unconventional, but it serves to maximize opportunities for other patrons.
We did $45pp - Spring rolls (veggies and seafood ones) theyโre both acceptable, dipping sauce is plain. - Beef ribs is a bit salty but salad on the dishes is excellent. - Cashews stir fry is very plain if you donโt like too much spices. - Duck wontonโs delicious, dumplings isnโt bad, I love spicy prawn tempura (only for spicy lovers) - Fried rice with crab is really oily and crab is too salty. Not sure why itโs always packed but the flavours in general wasnโt that impressive ๐
