The hot pot dish has to be pre ordered ideally. Everyone also has to be on time as well as the food is ready to eat when you arrive. The waiter was adamant rhe food had to be served immediately otherwise it would over cook. I quite like the flavour of the sauce as it paired well with the beef ribs. The bread is extremely dense. The menu is quite large and heaps to pick from
Authentic Northeastern Chinese flavors! The dishes are hearty, bold, and full of wok aroma. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing. The grilled fish and stir-fried pork are especially delicious. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Great place for comfort food and family meals. Will definitely come back!
I stumbled on a terrific Northeastern Chinese spot in Chatswood and itโs now my go-to for hearty comfort food. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing. The guo bao rou arrives shatter-crisp with a bright, tangy glaze that isnโt cloying. Di San Xian (potato, eggplant, capsicum) is silky and smoky, and the sauerkraut pork stew with glass noodles tastes like a winter hugโsour, savory, deeply warming. Dumplings (pork & chive) are thick-skinned in the best Dongbei way and burst with juice. I also loved the chicken stewed with mushrooms and the garlicky leek stir-fries. Service is brisk but friendly; dishes land fast and piping hot. Prices are fair for Chatswood, and itโs easy to feed a group without breaking the bank. The room gets lively at peak times, so arrive early or be ready to queue on weekends. If youโre craving bold, homestyle flavors and honest cooking, this place delivers.
The beef pot is hugeee! ๐ฅ The beef itself was just right โ tender, not too soft and not too chewy, absolutely perfect. I especially loved the radish, and this pot was packed with heaps of braised radish and potatoes, which made it so comforting and flavorful. We also tried the stir-fried cauliflower, which was super tasty with a nice kick of malatang spice
Authentic Northeastern Chinese food! The pork bones with gloves served on the side gave me instant confidenceโand the taste didnโt disappoint. Itโs exactly the old Northeastern flavor I remember from childhood. The sweet and sour pork pairs perfectly with cilantro. The sauerkraut dumplings were just okay, but overall the food is authentic and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!
