Wa Lao, sooo good. The food is very good and spicey, this will makes a great dinner meal for anyone. This is more Malaysian cuisine with really good curries and rice. Robot server also nice

A very friendly restaurant with exceptionally welcoming staff. Everyone was lovely. I’ll definitely return. I’m visiting from Brisbane and plan to enjoy the menu as much as possible before heading home. Had dinner here with visitors from the Solomon Islands.

i’ve come here for dinner on 2 occasions by now. first i got seafood curry laksa which was very tasty although i felt there was not as much yellow mee as bee hoon. the roti and curry is very nice as well. more recently i got a char kway teow lunch set which comes with a hot drink. the menu said it would be +$1 to make the drink cold but the woman at the counter said +$2. please update your menu or don’t deceive your customers. but i got myself milo ice anyway because it was hot and it’s really nice. the ckt comes with way too much bean sprouts compared to noodles (it looks opposite in picture but there was so much more underneath) but it tastes nice and has pleasant wok hei. curiously the prawns in here had no tail (on a plate where cutting and setting them aside is possible) but the ones in the laksa did (in a soup bowl where cutting is NOT possible and there is nowhere to cleanly set them away) qualms aside i enjoyed the food here so far and will likely come back again.

Tried Jom Kopitiam for the first time today (3/11/25). Food was delicious - thank you for not dumbing down the spiciness. It’s difficult to find Malaysian or Asian food here that’s authentically spicy and this restaurant does their spicy good. The ais kacang is good and generous with toppings and syrup but a bit on the sweeter side for me personally. The portions overall were generous and price is reasonable (below $20 for each of the noodles and $9.90 for the ais kacang which can be shared between 2-4 people) The shop had a nice ambience and local music playing in it which brings a sense of nostalgia for me :’) Will definitely come back here when I’m around the city area!

Brought by a local Asian friend who was kind enough to think we could miss Singaporean food. So we were rather expecting to have a taste of home, but it was not to be. Need to much lower your expectations as the quality and taste of the so-called Singapore/Malaysian food may not live up to expectations. 3 of us ordered the Hainanese chicken rice. The rice was hard and not much taste. Chicken was dry. Soup was bland. One of us had fried instant noodles and said it was good 🤣🤣🤣. Personally I loved the fried carrot cake although we found the portion smaller than expected. Over all - so so only.
