Just had the weirdest experience in Ju Wei Xiang. Came for lunch as a group of 2, made my order via the QR code. There was a man lying on the chairs at the end of the hall who sat up and started shouting at the waiter. The waiter went away and came back 2 minutes later saying the screaming guy is the chef and the chef does not want to cook. We had to leave the place. I feel really sorry for the waiter that had to deliver the news, he was great.

The squirrel (sweet and sour) fish is well fried and segments of fish are nice and crispy. Would like to see different vegetables used in sweet and sour instead of the frozen mixed vegetables and frozen cooked prawns. The Hokkien fried rice had a decent level of wok hei and flavours. However, the same frozen mixed vegetables frozen mixed vegetables and frozen cooked prawns were used in both dishes!. The original flavoured rice noodle soup had a nice broth taste and a good serving of sliced beef and quail eggs. However, the coriander and spring onion served with the dish was really dried out and looked like it had been cut days ago. Overall, the taste of the food is decent, however, they can improve it by adding fresh vegetables and variety in each dish.

Went there for a weekday lunch. The noodle soup are hearty, flavorful. Staff are genuinely friendly. The vibe is cozy and unpretentious, perfect for a casual meal. Prices are reasonable for the generous portions. They also have the 3-choices rice. Many options to choose from. Shop is clean.

A new restaurant in Chatswood😋 good for big group of ppl to share! Sichuan boiled beef is my fav! Squirrel fish also recommended ~ they also have take away set with two choices or three choices dishes (better to go early - around 6pm they already kinda sold out🤣).

Really enjoyed our meal which was delicious and authentic, came with generous portions, great for value. Restaurant also makes readymade dishes ready for takeaway which we will try next time!
