One of the best Malaysian meals I have had outside of Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ. You need to try this place best food and service.
First stop after a 4 hours plus of driving from Melbourne. Everyone looking for lunch and came across this restaurant. We were thinking of non Asian but then canโt decide what to eat so decided to try. Ambience & Service [3] Inside the restaurant is a simple setup. Staff was friendly and we wanted to try their laksa so order the different choice of laksa. We placed order at the counter and paid cash as there are fees for credit card. Food [2.5] After reading all the high reviews our verdicts are very difference. The laksa lack the taste and comparing with most Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne, the portion is not huge for the price. I am sure there are customers who prefer lighter taste.
Coming from Indonesia, it is what a great find. We came back twice and had Char Kwe Tiau, Prawn Laksa, and the especially Beef Ribs Laksa! Super yum! When I ask for extra chilli, they gave us a sambal that taste heaven! The service staff were super friendly and helpful (Mia?). Skip the overly priced restaurants in Little Malop St and have a laksa here instead! Highly highly recommended when in Geelong.
Don't mind the bright airy atmosphere, the laksa is as good as the side alley street vendors in KL. Fresh and tasty. Fish cakes also very good.
Such a germ in CBD of Geelong. The restaurant's decor is simple but cozy, and the atmosphere is great. As an appetizer, the deep fried squid is crunchy but soft inside. The prawn laksa soup is rich and flavorful, and the fish fillet soup noodles are even more impressive.
