Loon Fong in Sydneyโs Chinatown is a great spot if youโre craving classic Chinese food done well. The honey chicken was a highlight, perfectly crispy and coated in a sweet, sticky sauce that wasnโt too heavy. The beef spicy noodles had a really nice kick to them and came with plenty of tender beef, making the dish both filling and full of flavour. The chicken fried rice was simple but tasty, well seasoned and cooked just right, and it paired nicely with the other dishes. They also offer free hot tea, which is a lovely touch and something you donโt always get anymore. The service was friendly, quick and attentive, making the whole experience very comfortable. Overall, Loon Fong is a solid choice in Chinatown with good food, generous portions and great service.
Loved this place! The seaweed salad was super fresh, and the pepper beef dumplings were absolutely delicious-full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Service was efficient and friendly, and the staff gave fantastic suggestions that really made the experience even better. Will definitely be back! ๐ฅ
We were walking past Loon Fong when one of the friendly staff greeted us and give us a portable menu to look, which made us decide to give it a try, and weโre so glad we did! The restaurant is quite spacious and can fit many customers. The menu is extensive, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. It seems their specialty is the boiled fish with pickled veg, which comes in several variations, all of them looked amazing. We ordered a few different dishes, and honestly, everything we tried was absolutely delicious! (Fish, beef, lamb, chicken, choy sum and pig - all are good!) The flavors were well-balanced, not too spicy, making it perfect even for those who donโt eat spicy food (The spicy level can be changed) The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and provided very quick service. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if youโre in the area!
The ้ ธ่้ฑผ is a must to try, almost every table have this dish. Not as spicy as I thought, tastes good, especially when itโs so cold out there. ๅค่่ tastes ok, just that the pork is a bit hard, not the usual ๅ่ฅ็ฆ. ่พฃๅญ้ธก is good too.
Walked in on a Thurs evening, no Q. This place seem understaffed; the staff were caught up with all much happenings like serving in-house customers and take outs. Ordering was easy, and the food is served quite fast. The main dish - sour fish -s is decent; could be a little more sourish and savory, but the portion of fish was generous. The lamb is good.... Tastefully marinated. Overall an enjoyable dinner. Will revisit.
