—For all the customers— Definitely one of my fav restaurants. We went here for my birthday, the chef and the staff there were super kind and serving food with enthusiasm. Ordered the 9 course set and an extra fish with steamed eggs. They are using the best materials to making their food, so there is the chance that they replaced some dishes to coordinate with the daily catch supplies. However, there is no chance for them to let you down! They replaced some material which may even lead you to a better taste tour! For sure, all the dishes are awesome. Personally, I would say the top 3 impressived dishes of the set menu are shallot flavored free range chicken with buns, trout with risotto dressed with finger lime, Maotai ice cream. Oh no, I forgot the last dish - Lamb with veggies which is cool more like Western style! The lamb was cooked in a perfect level soft and juicy and the sauce was the spirit of this dish! Beside the course, the extra ordered trout with steamed eggs is the MVP of the night! Highly recommended! You cannot find this in anywhere else in Brisbane I would say. You will be surprised once you have the first bite of the fish! Everything in the dishes are just perfect! 10 out of 10! Will definitely go back to try other dishes next time. If you are considering about the value, the portion and the taste, with no doubt you need to try this! Magnolia is not just a simple Chinese restaurant, the chef made dishes with heart, he integrated some Japanese/western style in sauce and cooking techniques and presented the dishes as best as they should be. Every single dish is unique! We have been to several restaurants and tried their set course, however, Magnolia is the only one that made us stuffed to our limit. But even there was no room for any food, we still enjoyed so much in their dishes and finished them all! —For the owner— Thanks for the chef here and the hall staff (very cute lady) who brought us a wonderful dinning experience🧡 I knew there were something unpleasant things happened last night, but that wasn’t your bad at all. What an extraordinary dining experience which we really appreciated the effort put in to every course, not just with the presentation which was work of art, but also the flavours and quality of the food. All 7 courses worked for us and it was made more special by the chef coming out to present and explain each course, you could tell he was proud of his work. I also love a good broth and have to say, some of the broths that were added to the dishes were up there with the best I have ever tasted, perfectly matched and tasted fantastic. Favourite courses of the night were the Jelly Fish, Wagyu Brisket and the Dry-aged Duck. Highly recommend a visit and definitely a stand out for Chinese cuisine in Brisbane. It was also special to get their background history from the chef and his mum.

A truly fantastic and unique experience! With a Chinese background I'm no stranger to great Chinese dishes, but this was really something else. I had the 9-course meal and loved every single one of them. The chef himself actually comes out and explains the background of the dishes and how he transformed them with new innovative ideas. The food looks beautiful and importantly tastes great. All the flavours comes together nicely and just works. They do still resemble those traditional dishes in terms of taste, but with also some interesting twist and combination. You can really tell the chef is super passionate about the food he delivers and the experience he provides. Apparently the menu is adjusted every 3-4 months with some new dishes. Would definitely visit again next time to try then out!
