Wonderful dinner experience with hot pot and grill! Flavourful soup bases and good offering of beer, sake and soju. A must try for anyone in Hobart! And thanks for being open for us on Christmas Day!
The weather was cold, but the food was warm. The environment is cozy and comfortable. The staff are kind and friendly. Highly recommended!
We had such a beautiful night at Monsoon. We were driving from Launceston to Hobart on a cold evening and were really craving something warm and comforting. After seeing the good reviews, we booked a table and it turned out to be the best decision. As it was our first time, one of the staff members came over with the kindest smile and explained the dishes to us in detail. He even gave us recommendations, and his friendly nature instantly made us feel welcomed and cared for. It honestly made our night so much more special. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Shin Ramen Noodles, and the pork and chicken plate with Soju. Everything tasted amazingโso flavourful and fresh. The Tom Yum Soup was a perfect 10/10, and they even offer free refills, though we were already happily full. Monsoon truly won our hearts. We absolutely recommend this place, and weโll be back for sure whenever weโre in Hobart again.
Hotpot and grilled food all were fresh and delicious. Great value for the price. Lovely staff both the lady and the man who served us very nicely. Highly recommended.
My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday, so who was I to object? Some of us were familiar with the concept, and others complete noobs. The guy serving us explained everything exceptionally well, and had great English for the old racist we had with us (sorry Grandma). We all went with the miso broth so we could all compare apples with apples, and all three tables agreed that it was super tasty, even the one that wonโt eat anything but Aussie cuisine (I actually legit donโt know what Aussie cuisine is apart from meat pies, but that fits with the sister in lawโs diet). Plenty of stock refills, good value for money, and the beers were cold (love the lucky Buddha bottle). Weโll be back for sure. Cheers crew!
