Loved the atmosphere and the service, not so much the food. The good bits - we were sat by the window offering a first class view of incoming and outgoing trains down at the station. The servers were friendly and attentive and came round to ask if we needed refills of the banchan. Defo a first for us as we've always had to request refills at other Korean restaurants. Didn't love the food. Apart from the potato banchan which we thought was delicious, nothing else was to our taste. Every dish had sugary sweet undertones, whether it was the beef stew or the kimchi soup. Such a pity about the beef ribs, while the meat was fall-apart tender, I could only taste the sugar and none of the hearty beefiness I was expecting in a respectable beef stew. Anyway it's all about palates so if you like your mains on the sweet side, this restaurant will be right up your alley.

On a weekend trip to Sydney we had time to kill so took train out to Chatswood. There are many restaurants right at the train station. Glad we chose Myung Jang as food and service was superb ❤️. We highly recommend it. If you're in Sydney its worth the trip out there. Only 25mins from Sydney Central to Chatswood

Delicious Korean BBQ cuisine. Came for a weekday lunch and it didn't disappoint. The ban chan was excellent and generous (constant topups). We had the bulgogi pork with lettuce wrap and beef bone soup. Went really well together. Service is friendly and attentive and there is plenty of seating. 5% discount if you pay by cash. The food is mouth-watering and surpisingly delicious. I reccomend the Beef Rib Soup, which is my favourite. The chicken is also very crunchy and fresh. Definitely reccomend Myung Jang

We dined here on a Sunday not knowing they charge 10% surcharge on Sunday's. A star has been taken away due to the establishments sneaky ways of operation. There is no clear sign displaying a 10% surcharge on Sunday's at the entry doorway, you only find out at the end of your meal when you go to pay at the register. The display menu at the front also doesn't tell you how much the food items are, you'll have to go inside, sit down and scan the QR code to know the price, by that time it's too late or embarrassing if you want to leave. The korean side dishes were also very underwhelming, and limited. We ordered the $269 set menu which came with everything you see in the photos to share between 4 people. They gave two dipping sauces to share between the 4 people, which I found quite stingy. The meat is high quality, but you are paying for it. The pancake was really crispy and delicious, other than that it was everything you would expect at a Korean restaurant. The customer service was average and not attentive. Overall our bill totalled $300 inclusive of 10% surcharge and take away containers.
