We visited Naadam for a dinner date. We both are vegetarian. We checked the menu and knew that the vegetarian options were limited however we were there for experience mostly. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming. They explained the menus to us which was lovely. We ordered mushroom pockets, vegetarian noodles and some chips. We loved the pockets and chips however couldnโ€™t go along with the noodles. The atmosphere was amazing. We sat in the Mongolian styled tent outside and the experience was really good.

Lamb tartare is fresh. Mushroom pockets is so good with the sauce. Round beef pockets is tasty and carrot salad on that is also good. Milk tea dumpling soup tastes amazing because the milk tea is not sweet and the beef brisket is tasty. Mongolian barbecue is good and you can enjoy the roasted veggies underneath the lamb ribs. Desert is good as a desert. All in all, this place is the first Mongolian Restaurant in Canberra. If you want to try something new, this is definitely the best place to go.

We had a booking for 19 people. The interaction with the staff prior to the day was top notch. Very responsive to any questions and flexible. We had a couple of different dietary restrictions amongst us and they accommodated that with ease and flair. And the food was AMAZING!!! Our whole group were raving about all their dishes. The service was fantastic and attentive. 100% recommend

This restaurant is something special - it combines Mongolian fine dining, but in a cosy environment (in a yurt). Our server was Mongolian , and with each dish he gave a short introduction to the dishโ€™s background, giving the meal a very personal and educational connection. It was my friendโ€™s birthday, and our host even sang a birthday song for him. The food was well balanced and absolutely delicious. 5 stars, I would definitely be back.

Okay, so. My first time trying Mongolian cuisine. I am by no means a beginner when it comes to Mongolian history, culture, food, family and other aspects of history dating thousands of years. Besides the fact that some of the staff are Mongolian, adding to the immersion of the dining experience, it's made even more depth with the Yurt, the traditional tent used by the Mongol people on the stepps. To compliment the amazing staff and traditional atmosphere of the Yurt, the incredibly fresh tasting food, with the authenticity of the imported ingredients. We also has the lovely lady who brought our dishes out, would explain the ingredients, the location they obtained them from. The relevance of them and their location to the Mongolian people, in great detail. You aren't just eating Mongolian food, you're living and tasting a piece of history and culture wrapped up in one meal. We had the nomad feast which came with considerable variety of dishes. We also had the airag (mares milk) in a Martini, and a sample or two for my kids to enjoy that was non-alcoholic. The desserts we had were quite filling and had a balance of sour, sweet and tangy. The entire menu tasted fresh from beginning to the end. My two daughters turn both 18 and 13 in two months, and we will most definitely be returning for that celebration. I could not fault any part of the experience. The yurt was warm and cosy and felt authentic. The only suggestion I'd make (and this is a personal one) would be in the Yurt to include the traditional Mongolian throat singing. If you've not heard it before, I'd highly recommend it. Thanks very much guys for the wonderful experience, and we cannot WAIT to come back ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜Š.
