We liked New Alley. Diligent hard working owner and server and chef. We had cold beer, hot tea, a char siu bao and a couple of delicious Hainan chicken rice. I would call the chicken rice a bit more Malay than Singaporean but it was very very good. Would go back.

Amazing hidden gem to eat at! We had the hainanese chicken and rice dish. It was wonderful! So tasty and fresh. Lovely staff, great service and atmosphere! We will be back!

What a surprising find โ€” this Malaysian restaurant is SO good! ๐Ÿฅน Highly recommended to everyone!! โ€ข Char Kway Teow: The first bite was amazing โ€” full of โ€œwok heiโ€ (that smoky aroma from stir-frying)! Itโ€™s really hard to find a version this good in Brisbane. Packed with ingredients and chewy noodles โ€” I loved it! ๐Ÿ˜ โ€ข Hainan Chicken Rice: The chicken was tender and juicy, and the house-made sauces were spot on! The rice was fragrant and delicious too. โ€ข Crispy Chicken Bites: No greasy taste, thin crispy skin with juicy meat inside. The sauces were interesting โ€” one with a coconut milk twist and another pickled sweet-and-sour veggie one. So refreshing! The decor inside was also cozy and inviting. I really enjoyed my visit ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Where do I even start?! My bro fervently recommended this local hidden little gem. Goodness gracious! What stellar food! Chinese/Malaysian done simple and satisfyingly superb - not oily, not complicated, just joyful Asian food affair! - chicken satay was a treat, chicken was well seasoned and sauce was just right - the bok choy, soft yet enough texture to compliment your mains - extra chicken satay because why not! - prawn pork wontons, supple and tasty - fried kway tao, delicious Lovely service Kept seeing the staff bring every takeaway order out looking for the customer even when they were far away Small restaurant but very cosy and clean Well done! Keep the quality and service up and you guys wonโ€™t go wrong ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Tried the laksa with prawns at New Alley and found it quite decent, flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant has a clean, modern look that adds to the dining experience. I also appreciated the convenience of ordering via NFC tap, which made the process smooth and efficient.
