Have you heard of an AYCE hotpot train? 🚂🍲 We tried Running Pot, with prices starting from just $29.90 per adult and over 100+ dishes to choose from! Pick your soup base, stack your plates, and enjoy 90 minutes of pure hotpot happiness. Plus, it’s 100% Halal-certified 🙌 Kids 1–1.4m: $14.95 | Kids under 1m: FREE 🎉 Go on, check them out and roll out of there as we did 😆
Saw this place pop up on Instagram — an all you can eat hot pot? I'm in! Super affordable too at $29.90 + $5 for your soup base. My brother and I headed over after the movies and were in a quick line-up. We waited maybe five minutes, so definitely try to get there before 5:30pm before the line gets huge. Pick your soup bases and off you go — we honestly felt like we’d been transported on holiday. Loved the selection of meats (lamb, beef, pork, chicken), all the usual veggies and soup balls, plus a few interesting options I’d never seen before!
It is my second time trying train hot pot in Melbourne. The time limit is a little disappointing because they count the time very accurately. I realised 90 mins is not enough for a person to enjoy the hotpot, can imagine it is even worse if having friends with me. So, sadly I was charged for an extra $10 because the food leftover is really a lot, apparently exceed 150g. After I have paid the extra charge, I couldn’t finish those leftover food, nor take them with me, which is a little unfortunate. I still wasted the food, also wasted my $10. The staff said the $10 is a penalty for not finishing the food on time, or the customers took more food than they can eat within 90 mins. Wordless…..so next time if I want to enjoy the hotpot, I am not welcomed to give them money, but more than happy to stay at home to do it, which is more cost effective. So, sometimes those unreasonable policies or restrictions are in fact a good idea for people to reduce expenses. It also reminds people that they can make all food at home. Anyway, the food and soup base in Running Pot are really good. Love their fruits and Matcha ice cream. If the time can be extended, the experience would be more enjoyable. 😀 If I am able to eat quick, and not aiming to enjoy the food, will definitely see them again.
I was lucky to avoid the wait by arriving around 4:50 pm, but by 5:30 pm, a line had already started to form. The food was good overall, and the soup was decent. While the price isn’t exactly cheap, it’s still more affordable compared to similar hotpot spots. The total came to $80.16 for two people, including surcharges. With a 90-minute time limit, you’ll definitely have enough time to try everything they offer!
I recently visited Running pot and absolutely loved the experience! The concept of the all you can eat hot pot train is so fun. You choose your soup base and then pick from over 50+ dishes as they roll past on the train. The food was fresh, tasty and constantly refilled, so there was never any waiting around. The variety was amazing, from meats, seafood and veggies to noodles and even an ice cream station where you can scoop your own fresh ice cream. Everything was delicious and really good value for the price just for $29.90pp(adult). The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was lively yet cosy. Plus, it’s 100% Halal certified which made it even better for us. Honestly, I can’t tell you how wonderful the experience was. It’s definitely a must try.
