Had dinner at Shizen Sushi and More in Bondi Junction and really enjoyed it. We ordered the chicken nanban, katsu curry, chicken karaage, poke bowl, and salmon sushi — everything was fresh and tasty. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, will definitely be coming back!

I came here for the amazing reviews, but honestly I expected them to be exaggerated. When I walked into this tiny establishment with pre made hand rolls on display in the fridge, my skepticism grew even more, and my friend was ready to turn around and walk out. But, my curiosity demanded satisfaction! We checked out the menu and picked some rolls to try. When I went to order, that’s when the experience really began for me. None other than the owner himself was there at the cash register to take my order, who is Japanese btw. He gave me some pointers in ordering and let me know that I may have been over ordering, which I appreciate because I wouldn’t want to waste food. He took the order and set off to start preparing the order fresh. The first bite was the moment I knew I’d made the best decision possible in coming here! The flavors blended together exquisitely, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the service was highly attentive. Go now and eat here, 100% worth it!!!!

Exceptional Japanese food and amazing service. Whether I’m getting sushi takeaway or ordering a main to dine in, I’m always completely satisfied. This is hands down my go-to Japanese restaurant in Bondi Junction.

It is hard to find Japanese restaurants that have Japanese staff and owner. Whilst it isn’t a must for a Japanese restaurant it does add to the integrity of the food they make, especially the traditional Japanese food they make. My favorite dishes are the spicy salmon poke bowl, curry rice, the gyoza and of course the sushi. When you eat the food you can tell that all the materials are of high quality like you would find if you went to a restaurant in Japan. I would highly recommend to eat there!! And I would highly recommend for anyone to try out their spicy salmon poke bowl!!

Monday 08th April 2024 Visited again as our first experience was amazing! Our second visit confirmed this restaurant does great Japanese food with quality produce. Uploaded some new photos, hope you enjoy. On this occasion we ordered the scallop and salmon sashimi which looked fresh and vibrant on the plate and tasted amazing. Last time we really loved the Wagyu Beef BBQ and ordered this again which continues to impress. Opted to try something new and got the Chicken Katsu curry and as expected great flavor, love the Japanese curry as it’s sweeter tasting and mixes great with the rice. The grilled salmon and scallops were also delicious and finished off with some dark roasted black sesame ice-cream. All the food was outstanding and every dish was cooked perfectly and presented with care. We are hooked and will continue to come back as regulars, this place is a hidden gem for great tasting Japanese food, is a must try for all food lovers. Thursday 14 March 2024 OMG! An amazing experience with food that tastes delicious and has you wanting more, a flavour bomb in every bite. Located in a quite part of Bondi Junction with great seating (very comfortable) and is kept clean. Staff do a great job to keep it that way, makes the dine in experience much more pleasant. Food was top notch, quality ingredients cooked and served with care. We ordered the sashimi salmon and this was one if not the best tasting we have ever eaten. Highly recommended when you visit! We also ordered some aburi (grilled) salmon and scallops and these were amazing. For our next course we ordered the Wagyu Beef BBQ and it punched plenty of flavour and recommend you order this dish. We also got a plate of mix Tempura and this was beautifully presented and paired with a warm dipping sauce. Overall experience was outstanding and we will be coming back as regulars and encourage you to give it a try.
