Great spot for authentic Xiang cuisine. The flavors are bold, spicy, and very satisfying. The restaurant has a nice modern vibe, making it great for a casual dinner with friends. Be warned: "Medium spicy" here is actually quite hot! If you can't handle the heat, ask for mild. Overall, great value for money and definitely worth a visit.
Incredible Hunan flavours at Xiang Zhen! We ordered the โStir-fried Pork Kidneyโ and the โBraised Beef Brisket with Potatoโ. The kidney was cooked perfectly โ tender, with no strong smell, and the โwok heiโ (wok breath) was amazing. The beef brisket was fall-apart tender, and the potatoes soaked up all the rich sauce. Authentic, spicy, and so satisfying. The service was quick, and the restaurant had a nice, casual vibe. A must-try for anyone craving real Chinese food!
Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was amazing, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish was clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Service was great. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, perfect for both a casual meal and a special occasion. Everything came together perfectlyโcanโt recommend this place enough and will definitely be back.
The location is super easy to find, and the air conditioning is really strong, so you wonโt feel hot at all even eating spicy food on hot summer days. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and every dish tastes amazing. Highly recommend dining here!
Have been here quite a few times since the restaurant was small and is glad to see them taking the space next door and have better decor. Reservation is recommended for dinners with groups bigger than 2. The downside of business going larger scale is price is increasing, portion is getting smaller and table is getting more and it felt a bit crowded. It was reasonable and acceptable until this time. We ordered beef tripe with pickled radish but when itโs served we cant find any picked radish. Later this was also confirmed by the manager that this ingredient went out and kitchen used another โsimilarโ ingredient instead and heโs happy to refund this dish. To be honest the manager has done all he can do at that moment. But I also cannot feel better because all this could have been avoided from the start. Itโs just a pity to waste food when refunding but also I donโt want to take it because the ingredient has such important role in the dish. The other dishes we ordered still maintain their standard.
