★★★★★ Dropped in solo on a Monday - no booking, and left planning my return trip from Fitzroy. The space is something else. Red glow, heritage ceilings, exposed brick. 80s San Francisco speakeasy energy without trying too hard. But it was Liz behind the bar who made it. Walked me through the menu properly, nailed the food recommendations, then suggested an after-dinner cocktail that finished things perfectly. This is drop-in hospitality done right. We just had the most magical holiday meal - Christmas Eve at Suzie Q! With a 5 person table, we chose the Good Fortune Feast for our dining, and were treated to a seemingly never ending parade of delectable dishes, each so well balanced and well thought out - everything from the dumplings to the ribs were so delicious, with thoughtful textures as well as flavors. Even more outstanding, though, were the mocktails; as a table full of non-drinkers we were overwhelmed by the beauty and uniqueness of the nonalcoholic drinks (made by the amazing Priscilla), including a seasonal nonalcoholic gingerbread shot to finish the meal. Absolutely an exquisite experience, start to finish: great food, superb staff, and brilliant beverages.

November 2025 : Now our second time here and all the great qualities still remain. Carefully created dishes with flavour and texture, coupled with on point, friendly, attentive table service. We just discovered this modern Asian fusion restaurant and we left impressed. The interior has modern and beautiful decor, however it is the food and service that really shines. All the dishes taste like they are made from high quality ingredients and the flavours are perfectly balanced. The sui mai and sandstorm chicken were especially impressive. Coupled with friendly and attentive table service, this restaurant is must go in my opinion.

Absolutely loved it. The food was amazing full of flavour and beautifully done. The waitstaff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The venue itself is very, very cool with a great vibe. I went with my family this time, but I could definitely see myself coming back on my own and grabbing a seat at the bar. Such a versatile, fun spot. Highly recommend for a date, a group or dinning solo!
