One of the best hotpot in Melbourne. I had lots of fun cooked it myself hotpot. Everything was fresh. There are lot of choices and variety in the menu. I personally highly recommend the traditional spicy soup base!! The wagyu beef was super bomb and reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant decorations were amazing and had such a good vibe.
First time at Tan Hotpot and we honestly loved it! The flavour-packed broths were rich, comforting and seriously addictive, making every bite a delight. Our favourites were the duck blood jelly, mashed fish with roe, and the beautifully marbled wagyu beef โ all the meats were super tender, while the veggies and mushrooms were incredibly fresh. The best part? ๐คค The extensive DIY sauce station, letting you customise your dip exactly how you like it. A delicious, warming hot pot experience weโll definitely be back for โจ
What I personally like a about Tan Hotpot is the variety of their non-spicy soup base options. My toddler and my other family members who are not into spicy soup were still able to enjoy the meal. We got the set menu for four and it was more than enough for our family. Great value for money. Nothing to fault with the ambience, their space and service. They were great. I highly recommend getting the beef soup base and the fried rice. Delish! They do promotions as well so make sure you check them out.
I visited Tan Hotpot at lunchtime and had a great experience with the food and service ๏ผthe rich beef tallow broth, fresh ingredients, and a super welcoming vibe. What surprised me though (and made me want to come back again) was seeing the table card promoting their 50% off over 50 dishes after 8โฏpm deal. Turns out, several dishes I ordered like duck blood, beef rolls, and fish balls are part of that night-time discountโฆ so I missed it by a few hours ๐ญ But honestly, the broth alone was worth it โ spicy, aromatic, and not overwhelming at all. Pro tip: if you want maximum value, come after 8โฏpm and enjoy the same quality for half the price!
Tan hotpot has some delicious food. Sichuan spicy ๐ฅ and so tasty. It's fun cooking your own ingredients, picking your own soup base and trying some amazing Chinese beers ๐บ I haven't seen these beers anywhere before but I was really impressed. ๐ I ordered the - Tans traditional spicy soup (medium) which was spot on ๐ถ - Wagyu beef M9 Porterhouse slice -Lamb slice - Beef slice - Mushrooms - Broccolli - Funghi - Lotus root - Plain rice. What a meal. All the ingredients are fresh, this restuarant is spotless, and its a sh8ort walk up from Bourke St mall. Too easy. If you want a great meal, this is the place. #collab ______________ Late March 2025 With the weather in Melbourne finally getting a little cooler, it was time to visit @tanhotpot And I was so glad I did. I tried some delicious cuts of wagyu beef in a mushroom soup and a tomato soup. There were so many delicious things to eat, mushrooms, fungi, lamb, hot chips, and lots more. Just near Bourke St Mall, this place is easy to find and so worth a visit. #collab
