The food was quite good and the service was excellent. They even have a robot, which is super cute. It’s not the traditional style of yum cha, more modern, with lighter flavours. Not overly salty or oily like some other dim sum places. The location is a bit awkward though; you have to walk through a car park, so it’s easy to get lost. I really liked the sesame prawn rolls, chicken feet, and pork ribs. The cheung fung were quite average.

We visited without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised at the short wait plus friendly and efficient service. We especially liked that fusion of the traditional yum cha carts making their rounds, yet manned by friendly staff who spoke English on top of the usual Cantonese/Mandarin. Food was above average: we highly recommend the Black Truffle Siu Mai. God willing, we will be back to try their Peking Duck next time!

This was a very disappointing dining experience, and unfortunately one of the worst yum cha experiences I’ve had. Customers are required to join a queue using an iPad, yet the front desk staff do not proactively inform guests of this process. As a first-time customer, I had to figure everything out on my own. I arrived at around 1:30 pm, when the previous wave of diners were finishing their meals and lining up to pay. Despite many tables becoming available, no new guests were being seated due to severe understaffing and poor management. I was surprised to see the front desk staff also having to assist at the cashier, leaving no one to properly manage the queue. Even worse, although an electronic queue system is used, seating was clearly not done in order — I personally saw at least four people who arrived after me being seated first. This lack of organisation and professionalism made the experience extremely frustrating. The food was also far below expectations. The crab paste crispy rice cake was particularly unacceptable: the app photo was completely misleading, and for $38.80, it tasted like diluted artificial crab flavour over fried rice cakes. Other dishes were barely acceptable. Overall, this was the worst yum cha experience I’ve had. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Had a wonderful dim sum experience at The Panda Yum Cha! 🐼 The variety of dishes was impressive — from classic chicken feet and steamed beef ribs to fresh handmade dumplings and crispy spring rolls, everything was delicious and served piping hot. They also offer a great selection of stir-fried Chinese dishes, perfect for sharing. The service was friendly and attentive, and I loved seeing their two cute robot servers delivering food around the restaurant — such a fun touch! Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Cantonese yum cha with modern vibes.

Tricky to Find! The restaurant is on Level 3, accessible only via the pink car park near H&M. Mall signage is misleading—don’t follow the Myer direction. Spacious interior with plenty of seating. Food is decent, service is solid, but portions are small. A complimentary red bean soup dessert was a delightful surprise!
