Dirtiest place I've eaten in since I learned the difference between clean and worn, and dirty and unkempt. The Health Department has visited since my report and "ordered a through cleaning". This place, the things they use (aside from table ware) hadn't had a good clean in a very long time. The food was uninspiring. If you'd had the fish tacos in your fave bar, you'd have forgotten them between sips. Good crunch, no lunch (fish was maybe 75g total, maybe) pureed avo isn't the best thought here either. Lacking acid, though the flour tortilla were fine. The fritter was ok too. The coffee looked pretty but was a solid 10c degrees higher than quality 60c standard. And those plastic water cups. Putrid smell from a long life of dosing microplastics into water. It's been remodelled recently. But to its disadvantage.
Good brunch spot, the food quality and portion sizes are amazing, but there's lots of small details that I feel like would make the place even better. The drinks looked to be made in a bit of a rush, for example the biscoff rim was patchy and messy, and the latte cup didn't match the portion size of the drink itself. The bathrooms had a stale pee smell a broken soap dispenser and had a lot of fruit flies. I think they may have forgotten to salt the chips in the brisket sandwich. These aren't deal breakers or anything but it does give off the impression that there's no passion in this place. I would really love to see a mini revamp of this place especially since it's in such a good spot so close to the beach and seems to have so much potential.
Had brunch here the other weekend and this place definitely gets busy. Shakshuka was really yummy served with a slice of bread and butter, but Iโd felt the eggs were a tad overdone and wasnโt runny at all. Pistachio matcha is definitely worth the hype, itโs quite sweet and perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The pistachio and matcha flavours complement each other so well and both flavours are equally strong and present in the drink. Would absolutely love to try more of the sweets next time because that cookie in the pistachio matcha was still so good even though Iโd left it in the drink for majority of the meal.
Went here twice, TOP NOCH! Trust me, it never fails. Iโm that kind of customer that goes to viral places to test if itโs actually like how they showed it in social media. This place, uugh LOVE IT! Been here twice with different friends, they all love it. My friends are vegetarian, lactose intolerant and celiac and they have options. Though, I wish they have more gluten free options. Anyways, coffee/drinks are amazing as well, service is quick, atmosphere can improve and food? Itโs worth the price, it makes up the things that need improvement.
I went to this cafรฉ for brunch after hearing so much about their pistachio matcha latte, and wow โ it totally lived up to the hype! It was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I also tried the Biscoff latte, which was okay, just a bit average compared to the matcha one. We ordered some breakfast as well, and it was really good. The place does get quite busy, and the space is a little on the narrow side, but it still feels cozy enough to sit down and enjoy your food. Overall, Iโd definitely recommend their pistachio matcha latte โ itโs a must-try! ๐
