Wow! Absolutely stunned by the quality of food at Youngโs palace. It reminds me of homey Chinese food with a twist of western fusion. Canโt say enough good things about this place! We ordered some โsecret menuโ items and it is definitely worth every single dollar. The lobster with the steamed egg brings a perfect balance of the sweet freshness of the lobster and the savoury soy sauce flavour on the perfect steamed egg The customer service is also top tier there, we felt just at home as the staff were very tentative and checked in on us all the time Needless to say, we had an amazing time here and we will be back for more in the future
Welcome to the neighbourhood, Young's Palace! I have a feeling you will do very well in this spot for a long time. Your food is delicious and I love that your staff advised we had ordered enough for 4 and did not try to upsell or push us to order more -- very rare and appreciated! I'll be back - a lot. I especially loved your silky steamed eggs / soy sauce dish!
Second time here with friends and still obsessed. Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff were amazing. The black pepper beef remains our absolute favourite!! If you love cocktails, the mango pancake cocktail is a must-try. Such a great experience, weโll definitely be regulars.
From the minute you walk in, the staff make you feel welcome. What I appreciated the most was being asked of allergies and flavours we didnโt like and working out what best to order from there. The menu isnโt large but varied enough to find something for everyone. For starters we had the crab wontons, salt and pepper squid and prawn toast, all delicious and full of flavour. For mains the salt and pepper pork ribs, the black pepper beef fillet which was one of the best I have tried and lastly the highlight which was the Kung Pao chicken oh and side order of fried rice. The site has been so many different restaurants over the years and this is a welcome change with delicious food, give it it try, you wonโt regret it.
I had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. Everything was generally tasty enough, but nothing was elevated in terms of flavour to reflect what this restaurant is trying to be. Everything was very comparable to other casual Chinese restaurants I visit in Sydney. Staff also seemed quite confused on the evening regarding tables as every plate of food or drink we ordered we had to make the staff aware that it was ours. The restaurant did have a lovely energy and the layout and interior is nicely done. I do feel like with a few elevations of more interesting and well executed dishes and better staff training this restaurant could really be great.
Highly Acclaimed
